A good thing to do whenever you buy auto insurance with a certain company is to read a car insurance review about them. Reviews are great because you can learn what other customers think of the company as well as understand how they compare to other, similar companies. There are many review websites that you can check out online, and here at Comprehensive Car Insurance Guide, I try to write reviews of companies that people want to know more about. When you read a review of any company, there are a few key things that you should be looking for in each review such as an overall rating that is given (this may be a number such as 4 out of 5 or it may be a letter grade like A+ services).
Where To Find Car Insurance Reviews
There are a lot of different websites that you can go to online to read independent reviews, but usually reviewers on the internet are overly positive towards a certain company because they want you to buy through a specific insurance company. There are many writers online that are trying to sell people short by writing up an amazing review of a poor company, so be aware of that when you are skimming through some online. In my personal opinion, the best place to go for reviews is Consumer Reports because they investigate and thoroughly analyze companies based on multiple levels of service including: customer support, claim processing, overall price, etc.
Analyzing a Car Insurance Company Review
In order to make sure that an auto insurance review is providing you with legitimate information, you should analyze it. Ask yourself a couple of questions such as: Is this review overly positive/optimistic about a company? Does the review make the company sound too good to be true? If so, then it is probably nothing more than shameless promotion for an insurer. The best car insurance review(s) are usually unbiased and have some element of feedback from actual customers. There are usually drawbacks and advantages associated with insurers these days; if a company is being portrayed as perfect, there are likely some flaws that you just haven’t found out about yet.
Other Places to Check for Auto Insurance Reviews
There are many other places that you can look for car insurance reviews online. A place that I have personally used in the past to dig up information on companies is ReviewCentre. However, I noticed that a lot of the reviews had a bias towards being overly harsh towards a specific company. If you think about it, the people that take time out of their day to write a review are going to either have: very bad experiences with a certain company or very good experiences.
Consider Contributing a Review of Your Own
Think about your own insurance company: have you ever taken the time to contribute a review of their services? Chances are that unless they were awful insurers, you probably never even thought of sharing a review with others. If you want to help out other people that are looking for car insurance, take the time to share some of your personal experiences with insurers that you’ve been with. The more people that share their personal experiences, the easier it will be to distinguish good companies from poorer ones.
